GI / Galvanised Steel · Pune
Wholesale supply of galvanised iron sheets and coils from 0.35mm to 3mm thickness, in 80, 120 and 240 GSM zinc coating. Authorised dealer for JSW Steel, AM/NS Steel and Tata Steel — trusted in Pune since 1992.
Overview
GI (Galvanised Iron) sheet is mild steel that has been hot-dip coated with a layer of zinc, giving it strong resistance to rust and corrosion compared to plain CR or HR sheet. It's the standard choice wherever steel is exposed to moisture, weather, or outdoor conditions — roofing, ducting, cladding, and general fabrication. Quality Steel stocks GI in both coil and sheet form, sourced directly from JSW Steel, AM/NS Steel and Tata Steel, so you get consistent mill-certified quality with ready availability out of our Pune stockyard.

Why Quality Steel
FAQ
GI (galvanised iron) sheet has a zinc coating applied through hot-dip galvanising, giving a visible spangled finish. GP (galvanised plain) sheet is passivated for a smoother, non-spangled surface, often preferred for painting or lamination.
GSM is grams per square metre — the total weight of zinc coating on both sides. Higher GSM means a thicker zinc layer and better corrosion resistance, especially important outdoors or in humid conditions.
Roofing sheets are typically 0.35mm to 0.60mm with 120–275 GSM coating, depending on wind load and expected service life. Thicker gauges above 0.8mm are used for structural or load-bearing applications.
Yes — we stock GI in coil form and can slit or cut to length as sheets, based on your requirement.
